We are pleased to announce PMG artist JESSICA AUER and THOMAS KNEUBÜHLER will appear in FIELDWORK, a group exhibition curated by GENEVIÈVE CHEVALIER and presented by OSLO8 GALLERY FOR CONTEMPORARY PHOTOGRAPHY, in Basel, Switzerland.
Fieldwork presents the work of four Canadian artists whose practices are oriented towards a methodology of research and exploration that takes place beyond the walls of a studio. The photographs, video, and installation presented in this exhibition evoke vast tracts of land that extend northwards, or unfold from east to west. These works are the product of each artist’s movement across a territory shaped by natural phenomena, reflecting their preoccupation with landscape and its fundamentally constructed nature.
The exhibition Fieldwork is part of the Basel Art Week, taking place in the new art district at the Quartier Dreispitz. The artists and curator will be attending the opening as well as hosting an artist talk and tailgate party.
